Detailo Warranty Terms & Conditions
1. Detailo LIMITED WARRANTY REGISTRATION
- Only manufacturing issues will be covered under warranty. Swirl marks and scratches due to non-maintenance & wrong washing techniques, accidental & physical damages are not covered under warranty.
- Warranty depends on the package of coating performed on vehicle. So customer needs to take proper information about everything from Detailo centre or customer care executive.
- All vehicles treated with Detailo are provided service warranty by particular franchise or centre only.
- Customers should register manually for warranty via website. Only registered vehicles are liable for services under warranty.
- Vehicle must be treated with Detailo products only & service should be performed by Detailo approved applicator/franchise only.
- Customer should use Detailo products to maintain their vehicle after coating. If customer uses other brand product to maintain coated vehicle then warranty will be voided.
- Customer should not take their coated vehicle to any other brand store and perform any activity related to washing, paint correction, polishing or other services in warranty period.
- Detailo franchise/centre must be notified immediately of any claim due to failure of treatment within 30 days of occurrence.
- Vehicle must remain continuously registered within Indian transportation or RTO department for the duration of the warranty, as the warranty is on the registered number of the Vehicle.
- Warranty will be discontinued if owner of vehicle changed during warranty period and the same is not notified to Detailo centre.
2. Detailo INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE
- Minimum 2 Inspections annually must be carried out only by Detailo centre to maintain warranty.
- If there is failure to undertake such inspections within the required period, Detailo has right to deny any claims under warranty.
- Maintenance fee, determined by the Detailo centre will be charged for the Annual Inspection, which includes services like Exterior Wash, GermFree Interior Cleaning, Decontamination, Expert Inspection and possible reapplication of coating.
3. Detailo WARRANTY FOR DIFFERENT COATINGS
3.1 Detailo 9H Ranger & Graphene Ranger Paint Coating Warranty
- Bronze Package: Warranty provided on vehicle paint is valid for Two Years from the date of application.
- Silver Package: Warranty provided on vehicle paint is valid for Three Years from the date of application.
- Gold Package: Warranty provided on vehicle paint is valid for Five Years from the date of application.
3.2 Plastic Ranger Coating Warranty for Plastic Surfaces
Plastic Ranger Coating Warranty is valid for 24 Months from the date of application against all type of manufacturing defects. Surface scratches, pitting or discoloration is a direct result of improper maintenance or physical damages and is not covered under warranty.
3.3 Wheel Ranger Coating Warranty for Alloy Wheel Surfaces
Wheel Ranger Coating Warranty is valid for 24 Months from the date of application against all types of manufacturing defects. Surface rust, scratches, damages, pitting or discolouration is a direct result of improper maintenance or physical damages and is not covered under warranty.
3.4 Glass Ranger Coating Warranty for Glass Surfaces
Glass Ranger Coating Warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of application against all types of manufacturing defects. Issues related to poor maintenance, bad wipers, contamination build-up etc will not be covered under warranty.
3.5 Leather & Fabric Ranger Coating Warranty for Leather & Fabric Surfaces
Leather & Fabric Ranger Coating Warranty is valid for 24 months from the date of application against all types of manufacturing defects. Physical damages and non-maintenance is not covered under warranty. Warranty will cover the manufacturing defects only. Non maintenance and following points are not covered under warranty:
- Previous damages to any interior surface prior to coating application.
- Damage caused by chemicals, bird droppings and tree saps.
- Damage caused by alteration or modification of surfaces.
- Damage caused by rips, tears, shredding.
- Damage caused by abrasive compounds and third party products like polishes.
4. Detailo PAINTWORK WARRANTY - LIABILITY LIMITATIONS
Detailo or its' franchises shall not accept liability for the following:
- Deterioration of factory-installed equipment or any other treated part of substandard specification, materials or workmanship by vehicle manufacturer, their dealership, third-party supplier or modifier, or professional detailers not authorized by Detailo.
- Swirl marks, scratches, chips to the painted & other surfaces, hard water spots, bird dropping, tree saps, contamination build-up and chemical damages etc.
- Pre-existing damages or deterioration; and/or any claim for matters which are covered by vehicle manufacturers' warranty.
- Damage caused by manual or automatic wash brushes, contaminated and/or abrasive cloths and sponges, untreated areas due to accident damage and/or their subsequent repairs, and/or damage caused by impact with a foreign object (i.e., stone chips etc).
- Warranty is valid for factory clear-coated systems only and excludes any non-clear-coated or matte finishes.
- Warranty covers only manufacturing defects of the coating.
5. Detailo WARRANTY INVALIDATIONS
Detailo warranty for any product will be considered invalid if any of the following general conditions occur:
- Neglect to maintain the vehicle according to the standards and techniques recommended by Detailo.
- Damage caused by abrasive compounds and polishes and third-party products.
- Damage resulting from a collision or accidents.
- Damage or structural failure occurs as the result of racing applications or wilful abuse.
- Damage, either accidental or malicious, including but not limited to fire, flood, extreme weather conditions, effects that may result from the foregoing, or any other force majeure.
- Failure to repair and re-treat surfaces subject to accidental damages.
- Damage caused by any alteration or modification to the vehicle surfaces.
- Damage caused by vehicle manufacturer's defects or low quality issues.
- Damage to the vehicle prior to product application.
- Failure to adhere to any requirements listed under the terms and conditions of this warranty.
6. Detailo COATED VEHICLE ACCIDENT DAMAGE
Physical and accidental damages to coated vehicle is not included in the warranty, so Detailo and its' centres are not liable to give any service under warranty. Customers can buy insurance for such issues. Please visit our Insurance Tab on our website for more information.
7. Detailo WARRANTY CLAIM
The following applies to making a claim for any product defects or failures: Vehicle owners should notify Detailo customer care for any claim due to manufacturing defects of any product within 30 days of occurrence. Any application, re-application, repair work or other work carried out on the coated surface must be done by Detailo Approved Centre only. Resolution Limitation from Detailo or their Centres: If claim approved under warranty then Detailo and its' centres should perform necessary steps like paint correction and recoating activities only. Detailo and their centres are not liable to provide repainting or any body shop work and mechanical repair tasks. Detailo centres are also not liable for replacement of any part of any vehicle in any circumstances.
8. Detailo FRANCHISES & APPROVED APPLICATORS
Detailo uses strict guidelines and parameters to select their authorized franchises. Only such franchises are permitted to install and service any Detailo products. Customer needs to check certification of Detailo in particular centre with validity before giving vehicle for coating. Every employee in all Detailo franchises are trained and certified for application of Detailo products.
